Taking Her Time

Just wanted to update everyone ... no baby yet. Everything was progressing last night as my contractions started getting regular and working their way toward 5 minutes apart. Around 4 AM Na and I went to the hospital with contractions regularly at 5 minutes. However, I had not dilated any further and the contractions just aren't strong enough yet. Big Bummer! We were at the hospital till about 11 AM and then they sent us home to wait it out. Even though I am having regular contractions they are not productive enough to further dilation ... so we continue to wait. We are both exhausted today from being up almost all night and then all the "drama" at the hospital so we have just been trying to sleep and eat and hang out. It is hard to just sit around and wait, but neither of us feel like doing much of anything. Hopefully things will continue to develop, but right now there isn't anything happening.

On her way...

Well it was a long night, I had contractions off and on all night starting around 1 AM. Nothing that is regular or close enough together yet to warrant going to the hospital...but it looks like things are progressing. I feel like we might have her here within 24 hours, but who knows...she is on her own time table. I'm feeling okay, just tried to rest this morning since I didn't get sleep last night, but I may go walking after lunch today and see if that speeds things along.
Stay tuned ...

Waiting...

I have made it to 37 weeks, and have been off the medicine for about 3 days now. Not much happening so far - which I have been a little disappointed with. All went well at the doctor today, baby and I are doing fine. I am just ready to get things moving along - so impatient! I have dilated to a 2, so that is a little progress. Since my appointment today I haven't felt very well though ... not sure if that means anything or not.
We finally sold the Solara today, so that was a huge weight lifted off of us. Mostly it was just so time consuming to keep showing it and dealing with all the people and their questions and such. So glad that is all taken care of now.
My mom is back for a few days right now and that is great because it really helps pass the time when someone is here during the day. Also, it is good because I can get out and walk around so we have been able to do a few things each day. I feel like a freed prisioner!!!
We will continue to keep you up to date with any changes.

The End Is In Site!

We have made it to the 36 week deadline! Yesterday's appointment went really well. Baby looks great and is measuring around 6lbs 6oz now. My doctor says that we are ready for labor...so I am going off of the meds this weekend! We may have a baby girl next week! So exciting!!! Although there is no guarantee as to how things will happen once I quit taking the medication, my doctor seems to think it will only be a matter of a few days. Let's hope she is right! I am so ready!! I will try to keep everyone posted as things progress. Please say a little prayer that all goes well (and quickly) with the labor/birth. I can't wait for all of you to meet her!

35 Weeks

Here is Miss Priss in her latest photo...
All went well at the doctor this week, so we are just hanging on for another 2 weeks. I guess we could have an end of April or first of May baby. I am ready now, but I know it is best for her if we wait a little longer. This is the first sono where we were able to see her face. Usually she has her hands over her face, so I was excited to get a glimpse of her.

Car for Sale!

As many of you know I have driven a 2-door Solara for the past few years. I love my sporty car, but it must go because it is not conducive to a car seat and the many other things that go along with a baby. So if you know of anyone who is interested...
We would love to sell it ASAP!

A LONG Doctor's Visit!

Well today was my 34 week doctor appt which was at 9:30 AM. I have been feeling good and the meds seem to be working so I was not expecting it not to be a long one. Marsha took me today b/c Nathan wasn't able to miss work, and it was a good thing b/c we were there ALL DAY!!!
Everything went fine with my sono and Baby Girl is now a whopping 5lbs 8oz...in the 75th percentile! However, when they hooked me up to the monitor to check my contractions they also monitor her heart rate...well her heart rate was too high today. This can be a sign of several things I learned today, but mostly she cannot have a HR over 160 for me to continue taking my meds. So off to L&D I went in my beautiful wheelchair! Sadly, I am getting used to this so when we do actually go over for delivery I will be very familiar with the scenery and the nurses. I was there for about 4 hours hooked up to the monitor and then I got to go home. All is fine with her and with me...her HR went down after a little while and stayed in the normal range. Really I think it was precautionary today and I am thankful that my doctor is proactive. So we'll see what happens at next weeks appt. - I guess I'll go prepared for the unexpected!
Hope everyone has a great Easter weekend!

Pictures

Here are some pictures from the last few weeks. I haven't posted any pictures in a while so I thought I'd put up a few ...

33 Weeks and feeling bigger every day!

The latest addition to the nursery...my mom has a friend that paints! I think it turned out really cute and brings everything together. Nathan really likes the monkey!
